He married Caroline Rapp September 20, 1876 in Walnut, Illinois. He died September 14, 1937 in Walnut, Illinois. Caroline Rapp was born June 16, 1853 in May Township, Lee county, Illinois. She died December 20, 1942 in Princeton, Illinois.
