Lemuel Tam
Lemuel "L.A." TAM, 70, R.R. 6, Rochester, died at 6 a.m. today in
Woodlawn hospital where he was admitted Thursday.
Born Nov. 20, 1902, in White county, he was the son of Magnus H. and
Elizabeth M. ROLLER TAM. His marriage was April 9, 1928, in Winamac, to
Gladys GUNDRUM, who survives. A retired employee of the Penn-Central
railroad, he had resided in the Rochester area since 1945, moving from
Pulaski county. He was a farmer and a member of the Fulton County
Fraternal Order of Police. He also was a member of the Manitou Moose and
the Logansport Eagles lodges.
Also surviving are one son, Sherald [TAM], R.R. 6, Rochester; three
grandsons, Brad, Bryan and Brett TAM, all of R.R. 6, Rochester; one
brother, Harry [TAM], Delphi; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Viola) WHITEMAN,
Logansport; one half-brother, Elmer Roy TAM, Burnettsville. Two
half-brothers and three half-sisters preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral
home. The Rev. Steve SCHRADER will officiate. Burial will be in the
Fulton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.
Saturday.
