In the Washington County, IN history book, on page 400 it reads...
Elias Myers, a German speaking farmer born c. 1735 was living with his
wife Elizabeth in Lincoln co., NC by 1770. They probably came from
Germany
though Pennsylvania but because Myers and its variations are common German
names their origin has been impossible to establish.
Elias Myers came from Germany, on the Adventure Ship to PA in 1762.
Their known children were Mrs. Jacob Link, Elias Jr., John and
Frederick. Frederick moved to Knox Co. IN in 1817. Four of John's
children
moved there in the 1830's. Elias Sr.'s will was probated in Lincoln
County
in January 1803.
